Hurricane Season

This weekend Hurricane Irene, later named Tropical Storm Irene visited the east coast. So, while I was home with nothing to do, I came up with this look that I titled Hurricane Season. If you'd like to learn how to recreate this look on your eyes, click the link below for a step-by-step tutorial. =]

Materials Used:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in "Milk"
BH Cosmetics Standard 88 Matte Palette
ELF Mineral Shadow in "Beachy"
ELF Mineral Shadow in "Partier"
Any matte black eye shadow
ELF Cream Liner in Black
Maybelline Falsies Mascara

Step 1:
Prime your entire eye lid up to your brow bone and your lower lash line.

Step 2:
Apply NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk to your lid up to your crease.

Step 3:
Mix the two colors above on your eyeshadow brush and apply it to the inner third of your eyelid up to your crease.

Step 4:
Mix the two colors above and apply to the middle third of your lid. Blend with the lighter blue.

(This is actually a LOT darker than shown here. See the materials picture at the top.)
Step 5:
Apply the ELF Mineral Shadow in "Beachy" to the outer third of your lid and blend it in with the middle blue.

Step 6:
With a crease brush, apply ELF Mineral Shadow in "Partier" to your crease.

Step 7:
Use a soft fluffy eye brush to blend out "partier" so it isn't so harsh in the crease. Make windshield wiper motion over the gray shadow.

Step 8:
With your crease brush apply a little bit of your matte black shadow into your crease to darken up the gray. Blend it out so it isn't a harsh line.

Step 9:
Taking the colors from steps 3-5 smudge the colors in the same order on your lower lash line.

Step 10:
In this step you can just use the whitish color on top, but I chose to mix the two. Apply these colors to your brow bone as a highlight and blend down into the gray/black mix in your crease. After, apply just a little of the whitish shadow to your tear duct to highlight that area.

Step 11:
Line your top lid and bottom lash line with any black eyeliner you prefer, I chose to use ELF's Cream Liner in black.

Step 12:
Curl your lashes (optional) and apply black mascara to your top and bottom lashes.

And then you're done =] Your look should resemble this:
Lightening bolt is optional =]
I paired this look with a MAC lustre lipstick called Touch.
