Sprite (1st Eyeshadow Tutorial)

I haven't used this blog in a long time, but I figured this would be a good place to put this. I've been tracking the various eyeshadow looks I do on myself with pictures on Facebook. A schoolmate asked me to do a tutorial for a look that I call "Sprite." I didn't have the proper setting for a video tutorial, nor did I feel ready for that yet, so I just did a step-by-step written tutorial with corresponding photos. I hope this helps. =]

If you would like to learn how to recreate this look on your eyes, click the link below for a step-by-step tutorial. =)

"Sprite"
Materials: (If you don’t have everything here, but you have similar products, feel free to use those)

Flat Eyeshadow Brush (I’m using E.L.F brushes)

Eyeshadow Blending Brush

Primer (I’m using Too Faced Shadow Insurance, you can also use Urban Decay Primer Potion)

Black Eyeliner (I use E.L.F Mineral Liner, it doubles as a lip liner, but black lip liner? Ew)

Black Mascara

Eyelash Curler

NYX Eyeshadow in Yellow Funk (ES 60A)

NYX Eyeshadow in Lime Green (ES 31)

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk #604

NK HD Eyeshadow in #3022

NK HD Eyeshadow in #3001

----------
Step 1: Prime your entire eye area (lid to brow bone) with a primer. It will dry invisible.

Step 2:
Apply NYX Jump Eye Pencil in Milk to your lid. Blend with your finger up to your brow bone. (Patting motions upwards until it reaches your brown bone)

Step 3:
With your flat eyeshadow brush take NYX Yellow Funk. Pat on shadow about 1/3 of the way on your lid and slightly above your crease. Apply NYX Yellow Funk with the flat tip of your brush to your lower lash line about 1/3 of the way as well. Pack on color until you reach your desired intensity.

Step 4:
Take NYX Lime Green on your brush and pat on to the middle of your lid. (Ignore the little bit of yellow after the green, it was left over from the other side of my brush.)

Step 5:
With your eyeshadow blending brush, lightly swish brush from yellow to green to blend colors together. If you lose too much of either color just apply more and repeat the blending.

Step 6:
Wipe off both sides of your brush on a dry tissue. Take NK HD Shadow in #3022 (Green NK Shadow) to the tip of your eyeshadow brush and with the tip of your brush place it on your outer V of your eye.

Step 7:
With your eyeshadow blending brush lightly feather (swish) into the NYX Lime Green. If the greens overpower the yellow shadow, apply a little more yellow and blend.

Step 8:
With the tip of your eyeshadow brush add NK HD Shadow in #3022 (Greek NK Shadow) to your lower lash line from the end and meet it up with the yellow on your lower lash line.

Step 9:
Apply a thin line of black eyeliner to the top and bottom lash lines, wing out the end very little.

Step 10:
Curl your lashes and apply black mascara. (I apply about 2 coats of mascara)

Step 11:
Take a bit of NK HD Shadow in #3001 (NK White Shadow) on to your blending brush. Apply it right onto your brown bone and blend along your brow bone as well as down into the yellow and greens so there are no harsh lines between.

If you have any fall out on your cheek from the eyeshadows just use a wet wipe and gently wipe it off.
Your look should resemble this:
